5 Wedding Day Tips And Tricks

After months of planning, tastings and fittings, your wedding day is finally here. However, even when everything is ready and rehearsed, it is natural to feel overwhelmed during the hours leading up to your special day, making it hard to stay present and enjoy the experience.

These tips and tricks will help you stay in the moment and feel prepared to relish every second of your wedding day!

1. Have a Good Night Rest

A good night’s sleep is essential before your wedding day. However, the stress and nerves can make it very hard to drift off. Consider creating and sticking to a routine bedtime weeks before the big day.

You can, for example,  turn off your cell phone and climb into a bed at least an hour before you plan to doze off. If this doesn’t help, try taking a warm shower or bath which can help make it easier to fall asleep.

2. Stay Hydrated

Wedding days typically begin bright and early. Your schedule will be busy with hair, makeup, snacks and champagne. However, in the midst of all the fun and excitement, don’t forget to have a bottle of water near you to sip on throughout the day.

Staying hydrated will help you maintain your energy levels, keep you cool and it will balance out all those celebratory libations!

3. Rely On Your Bridal Party

Whether it is your mother and sisters or your childhood friends, your bridal party’s main role is to support and assist you throughout your wedding day. Even though ideally, all the planning should be in place at least a week before the wedding, there are always last-minute errands that arise!

Delegate tasks to your close ones; they will be happy to help!

4. Ask For Extra Food To Be Set Aside

Between the ceremony, posing for pictures and making rounds to share conversations with all your guests, chances are you will not have much time left to enjoy the culinary experience that you worked so hard to put together.

Ask your caterer to prepare you a to-go box with a selection of snacks to ensure you are not starving by the end of the night!

5. Take Time To Enjoy Your New Spouse

It is a known fact that your wedding day will sail by and, before you know it, you will be ready to leave on your honeymoon. So, whether it is right after the ceremony or before the dancing begins, be sure to take a moment to enjoy your new spouse’s company and bask in the newlywed bliss.
